ICELAND
Link between Landscape and Culture
In June 2002, renowned American landscape painter, Diane Burko, accompanied a group of American student artists to
Iceland to learn about the country through the landscape lens. By studying

culture. The program included visits to museums and galleries in Reykjavik,
interaction with Icelandic student artists, lectures by Burko and Icelandic
artists and landscape workshops in the field.
